Kokomo
Jr.'s TV career spanned the 50's, 60's, 70's, and early 80's, with appearances
on many major network TV shows, such as The Today Show with Dave Garroway,
The Tonight Show with Jack Paar, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The
Steve Allen Show, To Tell The Truth, and The Candid Camera Show with Allen
Funt.
Over the years, Kokomo Jr. has been privileged to meet and/or perform
with many various stars, such as Buddy Hackett, Joey Bishop, Diahann Carroll,
Phyllis Diller, Merv Griffin, Red Buttons, Tony Bennett, and Jack Benny,
to name a few.
In addition,
Kokomo Jr. has done a considerable amount of work for many non-profit organizations,
including The Leukemia Society of America, The American Heart Association,
The March of Dimes, The American Cancer Society, and Mayor Daley's Citizens
For A Cleaner Chicago.
In 1982, Kokomo Jr. and his best friend Nick Carrado retired from show
business and started another business, Monkey Packaging Tape, which presently
specializes in providing businesses with shipping room supplies nationwide.
Nick, Nancy and Kokomo Jr. are presently making available, for sale
to the public, various items of interest, such as T-shirts, hats and ties,
Kokomo Jr.'s paintings, and the Kokomo Jr. TV film series, which consists
of 26 five-minute shorts that can be used for fillers by cable and TV program
directors on a 2-year lease basis.
